How do I view an image at a larger size?
You can view an image at a larger size by clicking on the small thumbnail image in the gallery. This will bring the image up to the top of the gallery at a larger size.
How do I order an image(s)?
Firstly, determine which image you would like to use. Download or capture a low resolution copy of the image to use when composing your artwork. When you are satisfied with the artwork, save it as an eps, jpg, tif or Acrobat file format. Go to the Image Request Form in the Images section of the Business+ website and complete all of the details. You will need to then “upload” the file of your artwork and click the “Submit Request” button to submit your Image Request Form. Once approved, your image will be sent to you on CD via Express Post. In some cases, depending on the file size and the urgency, the file may be emailed to you.
How do I download a low resolution image for comping?
Mac OS Users
Click on the image you want and then <CTRL> click the image to save it directly to your computer.
Windows Users
Right click the image link and select 'Save Target As...'. Save the image to your chosen destination.
Open the file using an image editing program such as Photoshop. You may also choose to click the image and open it in your browser, however this may slow down your machine.
What file sizes are available?
The file size is generally determined by the application nominated on the Image Request Form. Most images are capable of being reproduced in high resolution up to a size of 600mm wide. Some images sizes are even bigger and may be enlarged to more than 1000mm depending on usage application. If larger file sizes are required please email: mail@lpplus.com.au for availability.
Can I get an image for comping without the L’Oréal watermark?
No. All images supplied for comping and mockup purposes carry a faint watermark image of the L’Oréal logo for security reasons. Only after approval of artwork by L’Oréal will an image be supplied without the watermark.
Am I allowed to alter or change any part of an image?
No. Images are licensed only on the basis that they be reproduced as supplied. Deleting the background or changing the colour of the background is not allowed under any circumstances. Cropping of images is allowed where necessary to fit your design requirements but is subject to approval. The direction of an image may be reversed for aesthetic reasons but is also subject to approval.
Are there any restrictions on the use of images from L’Oréal?
All images are approved on a case by case basis. However, images may not be used in conjunction with other salon services such as tanning and nails.
Are there any special requirements to use the images?
Yes. Whenever a L’Oréal image is used, it must be accompanied by the L’Oréal Professionnel logo preceded by the words "In association with".
